We must realize the true power of community—that every one of us can take action to make a difference, and we are always STRONGER TOGETHER.

Our Story

Action Together Bay Area began as a regional part of a movement, begun late in the historic 2016 presidential campaign, celebrating Hillary Clinton's candidacy and sharing stories and experiences in a common desire for a more progressive and tolerant society. Over time after the election, as the need and will for action to achieve these goals became more evident, our group chose to become a part of a newly forming network of liberal activism groups throughout the nation working in collaboration towards progressive action.

We strive to maintain this collection of voices as a vibrant supportive online community here in the Bay Area. Working collaboratively with activism groups throughout the state and nation, we are working to establish a new movement of thoughtful, meaningful, and bold action to achieve sustainable results.

Our Facebook group currently has over 14,000 members, and is set to "private" to help foster a safe-space environment where honest experiences and feelings can be openly shared. Our group is moderated, administrated and operated solely through the work of dedicated volunteers who believe in the importance of progressive action and respectful support.

In addition to sharing and calls to action, we support and amplify the work of smaller local regional activism groups and manage the Bay Area Progressive Action Calendar. We collaborate through the Action Together Network (www.actiontogethernetwork.org) with a variety of other like-minded action organizations to develop supportive partnerships that further our mutual goals.

Something amazing happens when folks come together in support, respect and meaningful action. Join us to engage with people who care about our country and our community. Everyone can make a difference and we are STRONGER TOGETHER.
